Ashly Winkle is a passionate leader in adult education and digital learning. As Associate Director of the Distance Education Professional Development Center (DEPDC) at TCALL, Texas A&M, she supports statewide training, technology integration, and professional development. With dual master’s degrees in teaching leadership and online education, Ashly brings over a decade of experience—from classroom instruction to launching Texas’s first Distance Education Call Center. She regularly presents at state and national conferences, advocating for equitable, tech-enabled learning opportunities for adult learners.

Rina Renteria is a passionate advocate for bringing technology into adult education. As the Manager of the Distance Education Professional Development Center (DEPDC), she helps educators across Texas explore innovative tools to enhance teaching and learning. In her role, Rina also leads the Texas Distance Education Call Center, providing vital technical support to both adult education students and instructors statewide. A lifelong learner herself, Rina enjoys reading and taking long walks when she’s not working. She is excited to share how generative AI and other emerging technologies can empower educators and learners alike, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and digital confidence in the classroom.

Ryan Lett is an enthusiastic and innovative program leader specializing in adult education, digital literacy, and workforce development. In her current role, she designs and delivers training programs that empower educators to integrate digital literacy into their instruction while fostering digital resilience among adult learners. Ryan thrives on creating engaging, technology-driven learning experiences that bridge skill gaps and enhance accessibility. She has excelled in roles such as Associate Director of Education and Training, Adult Education Specialist, and now a Program Coordinator with TCALL at Texas A&M. She is dedicated to equipping educators and learners with the tools they need to navigate an increasingly digital world—always with a smile and a can-do attitude.

Gareth Wingfield is a Program Coordinator with DEPDC at TCALL, where he focuses on developing and delivering digital literacy trainings and educational resources. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Tyler and brings over 15 years of experience in adult education, including roles as an ESL, ABE, and HSE instructor and Distance Learning Coordinator with PAVE East Texas. Gareth is a certified Math Trainer and Teaching Skills That Matter Trainer, and has supported TCALL through lesson development, video production, and Call Center services. His current work includes planning statewide training events, processing training requests, and promoting resources through the Distance Education Call Center.

Liz Bohon is a skilled leader in adult education, blending expertise in education technology and online instructional design. As Program Coordinator for Texas A&M’s DEPDC, she drives statewide efforts to boost digital literacy and access through innovative learning strategies. She’s a key force behind program year 2025-2026 Texas’ Digital Navigators pilot, partnering with Literacy Minnesota and AmeriCorps to close the digital divide and support learners in building confidence and skills.

Off the clock, Liz wrangles tech trends, conquers open-world RPGs, and tends to a homestead full of goats, chickens, and bees—lifelong learning in every sense.
